How to Verify Your Bank Account with Prosper

At Prosper, we strive to make your financial transactions as seamless and secure as possible. However, we understand that not all banks have adopted open banking yet. But don't worry, we have a solution for you!

If your bank is not yet using open banking, we can verify your account ourselves. All you need to do is send us a recent statement from your bank, clearly showing your account details. This statement should be from the last 3 months. Please make sure the following are clearly visible:

  • your name & address

  • your sort code and account number

  • the Bank's name

  • all four corners of the paperwork

Don't worry about sharing sensitive financial information with us. Feel free to redact any financial information before sending us the statement.

Once we have verified your bank account, it will become your nominated account with Prosper. This means that it will be the only account we use to receive money from or send money to on your behalf.

Having a verified bank account with Prosper not only ensures the security of your transactions but also makes it easier for you to manage your finances with us.
