Understanding Your Bondsmith Statements

Our custodian, Bondsmith, produces regular statements which are available in the App within your profile (documents). These statements are an important tool for understanding your savings and investments. In this article, we will explain how to access your statements and what information you can expect to find in them.

Accessing Your Statements

To access your Bondsmith statements, simply log into your Prosper account and navigate to your profile. From there, click on the "Documents" tab. You will see a list of all your available statements, organised by date. Click on the statement you wish to view to open it.

Understanding Your Statement

When you open your statement, you will see a breakdown of your savings with Bondsmith. This includes the amount of money you have saved, any interest earned, and any fees or charges applied. You will also see a summary of your overall account balance.

It is important to note that Bondsmith statements may not provide as much detail as you would like. This is because there are currently very few legal or regulatory obligations on banks to provide data on statements when they are accessed through a savings marketplace, such as Prosper. This is true whether you use another savings intermediary or us. We believe that this bar is far too low and we are working to change this. Our members deserve better, and we will continue to push for more detailed statements. However, please understand that this may not be a quick fix, as the decision ultimately lies outside of our organization.

Conclusion

We hope this article has helped you understand your Bondsmith statements better. If you have any further questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team. We are always happy to assist you in any way we can.
