How to Transfer Funds from Your GIA to Your ISA or Pension

At Prosper, we understand that managing your investments can be a complex process. That's why we offer the option to transfer funds from your General Investment Account (GIA) into your Individual Savings Account (ISA) or Pension account. This internal account transfer allows you to easily move funds between your accounts without having to withdraw and deposit them manually.

To initiate a transfer, please follow the steps outlined below:

  1. You first will need to sell down your assets into cash

  2. Let us know when the funds are in cash within your GIA account

  3. We will then transfer the cash from your GIA into your (ISA/Pension)

  4. You can then buy back the investment once the funds are in your chosen account

Please keep in mind the following important points:

  • Assets will be sold and repurchased - market volatility may incur.

  • It is your responsibility to monitor your tax-free annual allowance. If you are unsure, please seek advice

We are constantly working to improve our services and make them more convenient for our customers. We are currently developing a feature that will allow you to initiate internal account transfers directly through our app. We appreciate your patience as we work to implement this feature.

If you have any further questions or need assistance with a transfer, please don't hesitate to contact our customer support team. We are always happy to help.

Thank you for choosing Prosper for your investment needs.

Kindest regards,

The Prosper Team
